VBC Team Update
Hi VBC Nation,
We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and some time with family and friends. As we move through the winter break, we have a few great opportunities for our athletes to stay in the gym and keep getting better. Please see below for this week’s club updates.
Holiday Open Gyms:
We encourage all of our athletes to attend one of our FREE open gyms, for all VBC players, during the holiday break on the following dates: 12/26, 12/29, and 1/2
- Boys: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Girls: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
VBC Holiday Jump Serving Camp
Tuesday, December 30, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
A focused serving session for athletes who want to improve their jump serve. We will break down approach, toss, timing, and contact, then train both jump topspin and jump float. Athletes will work on serving to zones and serving under pressure with targets and competition. Click here to sign up.
Boys Middle School Pre-Tryout Camp
Sunday, January 11, 2026, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
A high rep prep camp for boys getting ready for middle school tryouts. Athletes will get lots of touches and fast paced coaching through serving, passing, attacking, and game-like play so they walk into tryouts sharper and more confident. Click here to sign up.
Setting Training
We will begin our setters training on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting 1/6, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This training is open to all setters, all genders, and all ages. Sessions will focus on setter-specific skills and decision making so athletes can grow in their role and better run their team’s offense.
College Recruiting
We are finalizing our recruiting document and will be sending it out within the week. It will include the recorded presentation from our College Recruiting Seminar, the slide deck, and other important resources to help athletes and families navigate the recruiting process.
